Leading investment bank seeks to fill new role that has arisen in its legal team. The institution advises corporate, institutional investors, hedge funds, governments and high net worth individuals. The vacancy has arisen due to an upturn in deal flow and the role will involve working partly supervised whilst running your own transactions. You will advise on all aspects of execution across equity product range and have strong negotiation skills including engagement letters, underwriting agreements and legal opinions generally. This is a trading floor role and the ECM team works closely with the capital markets businesses in execution and documentation of a whole range of equity products including IPO’s, rights issues, secondary offerings, investment trust structures and convertible bonds. The ECM legal team structures transactions and reviews pitch and presentation documentation as well as selecting external counsel on particular matters and liaising internally with other departments including tax and compliance. Candidates with mainstream European languages such as French, German and Italian would be useful.
