Our client is internationally renowned for their corporate and finance expertise. In particular their London based US corporate group has been exceptionally busy since the turn of the year and are keen to hire a senior US associate that can hit the ground running and take the lead on big ticket instructions. Ideally you will already be based in London (though candidates from the US and Europe will be considered) and have gained significant experience in relation to US corporate/securities transactions (language skills would also be a bonus).
Academically you will have a J.D. from a top 10 law school and have practiced with a highly regarded US or UK law firm. Candidates will also possess a solid and stable employment history (this is very important).
Further, the incoming attorney will become the most senior in the group and will be expected to take on a very visible position within the team (with the responsibility that this will attract). In terms of careers aspirations – the incumbent will need two years service before being considered for partnership but, as mentioned, will have a clear and visible route given their position within the group. In terms of package – this is on a par with the very best of the New York firms (plus cost of living adjustment where applicable).
